The 1985 were a noise rock band from Pittsburgh, PA, existing from 1996 to
2001.
As one of Pittsburgh’s more sexually active bands, they had a sound that reflected this. In 2000, two of the members suffered severe penile fractures (unrelated to each other), which caused the band to slow down, then eventually cease operations
Members have went on to form Microwaves and Zombi.
